Over hill and over dale, I chase her all night long.

She laughs when I can’t find her, she leads me with her song

I chase her over hill and over dale, when I find her no one’s there

Nothing but the moonlight through the trees

Gone in a flash, lost through the glass

of my window gone blurry between seams

And so I wander far and wide, wishing she were by my side

And until then, I cry and bend my branches on the wind of summer’s gates
